Deep crimson. Fantastic nose of damson and cherry with a hint of cinnamon bark. Gorgeous supple dark-cherry fruit of great depth and concentration and yet not heavy. The whole is perfectly balanced by soft, gritty tannins. Great length.

WINEMAKING NOTES:  Maceration and spontaneous fermentation in cement tanks without temperature control for one month. Aged for one year in cement tanks to maintain the integrity.

PAIRS WELL WITH: Spaghetti Bolognese, penne all'arrabbiata, ricotta cheese, antipasto, grilled steak Florentine, grilled lamb, Tuscan style chicken, panzanella, osso buco, ox tail, porcini mushrooms, mashed white beans, and tiramisu.
