Alpamanta, 'Campal' Malbec (2022)

Alpamanta, 'Campal' Malbec (2022)

REGION:  Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza

COUNTRY: Argentina

GRAPE(S): Malbec

BODY: Medium

ABV: 12.5%

TASTING NOTES: Aromas of fresh plum, black cherry, and blueberry are complemented by subtle notes of rosemary and eucalyptus. On the palate, juicy, slightly tart flavors of cranberry skin are balanced by lively acidity and soft tannins, leading to a smooth, gentle finish.

WINEMAKING NOTES: This wine was originally a co-ferment of Merlot and Malbec, with both varietals harvested three weeks earlier than the rest of the Malbec crop, aligning with the typical harvest time for Merlot. This vintage is 100% Malbec, still harvested early, and undergoes carbonic maceration in stainless steel, with no added sulfites.

PAIRS WELL WITH: BBQ Burgers/Turkey Burgers, Pizza with sausage or prosciutto, Thai basil chicken, Spicy Mexican food- Tacos with cilantro and lime, Flank or skirt steak with chimichurri, Cheddar or young Manchego.
